Interested in continuing to learn in retirement? The New School’s Institute for Retired Professionals (IRP), located in New York City’s Greenwich Village, is open to retired or semiretired people in their early fifties onward who want to actively participate in cooperative learning and instruction.

People of all backgrounds pursue serious, peer-led inquiry through our lifelong learning program. The IRP encourages individuals to challenge themselves by taking part in study groups and assuming academic and administrative leadership roles. Each person’s learning experience is enriched through regular exchanges with enthusiastic learners with diverse backgrounds and interests
